Why We Recommend Ordering 20 Pieces
Making 20 pieces in one run — and shipping them together — costs far less per piece than making one or two. The labor and the freight get shared across the whole batch. That’s why 20 pcs is where you hit the lowest unit price, on in-stock parts and custom orders alike. And you can mix different parts and models in the same batch.
MOQ isn’t fixed for every part — it depends on size, process and packing. Send us your part list and we’ll put together the best price plan for it.
What Affects the Price of a Carbon Fiber Vents?
There’s no mystery in vents pricing — a handful of things decide the number. Know them, and you’ll plan a better order. You’ll also see exactly why our factory price sits so far below retail.
| Factor | Options | Impact on Price |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturing process | Wet carbon → vacuum infusion → dry carbon (pre-preg, autoclave) | Dry carbon costs more, but it is lighter and stronger |
| Carbon weave | 3K twill (standard) / forged / honeycomb | Forged & honeycomb: +10–20% |
| Surface finish | Gloss (standard) / matte / painted | Matte: +10%; painted quoted per color |
| Type | Decorative overlay / functional vent | Functional vents with ducting cost more |
| Louver design | Simple / multi-louver | More louvers raise tooling complexity |
| Set composition | Single / pair | Pairs price better than two singles |
| Order quantity | Sample → 20 pcs (recommended batch) → 50+ pcs | The more you order, the lower the unit price — 20 pcs is the best-value batch |
| Tooling (new designs) | FRP mold / epoxy mold / aluminum mold | One-time $500–$1,500; repeat orders skip this cost |
| Mold availability | Existing mold / new mold | Existing mold = no tooling cost; a new mold adds a one-time fee |
| Shipping method | Overseas warehouse / sea / air / express | Sea freight is cheapest for batches; air is fastest but costs more |

Styling or Functional? Same Vent, Two Prices
A vent trim can be a look part or a working part. A closed carbon garnish dresses up a bumper. An open louvered vent moves hot air out of the wheel well or the bay. Both are fine. But they are built differently, and they are priced differently.
For Street and Show
Closed vent covers and garnish trims that follow the factory vent shape. Wet carbon layup, tape or clip fit, gloss finish. No airflow job, no load, so the build is simple and the price stays low.
For Real Airflow
Open louvered vents with real passages. The louvers have to be shaped right to extract air, the edges have to seal against the panel, and the part sits in the airflow at speed — so the layup is stiffer and the mounts are real hardware, not tape.
Why the gap? Four reasons:
- The louver work. Each louver is a small airfoil. Open vents need clean, even louver edges to move air without noise. That is slower layup and slower trimming than a closed garnish.
- The fit. A garnish tapes over a panel. An open vent replaces a panel section, so the edge gaps have to be right — more time in fit check per part.
- The mounting. A vent in the airstream at 200 km/h needs bolts or clips that hold. Tape is not on the list at this grade.
- Material. Functional fender vents often go dry carbon pre-preg for stiffness. Pre-preg costs 2 to 3 times more than standard fabric, and autoclave curing takes hours per cycle.
The same logic holds for our other aero trims: canards, front lips and diffusers. A vent that only looks right is cheap to build. A vent that moves air is not.
One honest note: if the factory vent on your car is closed from the bumper line, a styling garnish gives you the look for less, and nobody at the meet will know. Functional vents earn their price on track cars and hot engine bays. We would rather sell you the right vent than the expensive one.
Not sure which type you need? Tell us the model and your target quantity. We quote both types so you can compare.
Carbon Fiber Vents Prices by Vehicle Model
Prices move with the car. Here’s what popular models go for at retail — and what the same vents costs factory-direct from JC AUTOCARBON:
| Vehicle Model | Popular Style | Retail Reference | JC Factory Reference |
|---|---|---|---|
| BMW M3 (G80) | Front vent trims | $60–$300 | $28–$120 / pc |
| BMW M4 (G82) | Front vent trims | $60–$300 | $28–$120 / pc |
| Ford Mustang (S550) | Side / hood vents | $60–$280 | $25–$110 / pc |
| Honda Civic (10th gen) | Side vents | $50–$250 | $25–$100 / pc |
| Mercedes-Benz G-Class (W463 / W463A) | Front / hood vents | $80–$350 | $35–$140 / pc |
| Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205) | Front vents | $60–$280 | $25–$110 / pc |
| Porsche 911 (991 / 992) | Front / rear vents | $80–$380 | $35–$150 / pc |
| Chevrolet Corvette (C8) | Rear vents | $80–$350 | $35–$140 / pc |
| Toyota GT86 / Subaru BRZ | Side vents / louvers | $50–$250 | $25–$100 / pc |
| Dodge Charger / Challenger | Hood vents | $60–$300 | $28–$120 / pc |
For context: US retail brands list carbon vent trims at $50 to $380 depending on size and whether the vent is open or closed (public listings, checked October 2026). Good products. But a large part of those prices is brand and distribution, not carbon.

Total Cost: More Than the Part Price
The price of the part itself isn’t the whole bill. When you plan a vents order, budget for the full landing cost:
| Cost Item | Typical Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| The vents themselves | $25–$120 / pc factory-direct | 20-pc batch = lowest unit price |
| Installation | DIY | Overlay 15 min; replacement 30–60 min |
| 3M tape | Included | For overlay versions |
| Freight & import duties | Varies by country | Duties & VAT depend on the destination — ask us for a DDP quote |
Two rules of thumb from our side of the table:
- Closed garnishes are a DIY job. Open fender vents mean cutting or unclipping a panel section — budget a shop, and seal the edges when it goes in.
- Tell us if the vent must move air. Closed trim and open louver are different molds. The type decides the quote, so tell us before we price it.
How JC AUTOCARBON keeps this number down: in-stock parts ship from our US / EU warehouses — no surprise import duties, no 6-week wait on the water, no long haul that can damage the part. For batches we ship by sea on DDP terms — the number we quote is the number you pay.

Price lists are useful. Real quotes are better. Here are two typical orders, broken down line by line, so you can see where every dollar goes.
Example A · Styling Grade, Existing Mold
A US accessories shop orders 40 closed front vent trims for the BMW G80 M3.
| Item | Adds | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Base: existing mold, 3K twill, gloss, wet carbon | $30 / pc | Mold already exists, no tooling fee |
| 3M tape pre-applied | +$2 / pc | Genuine tape, applied by hand |
| Customer logo, labels and custom boxes | +$3 / pc | Printing and packing labor |
| Total, 40 pcs, sea freight DDP | about $35 / pc | Lowest unit-price tier, freight and duties included |
Example B · Functional Grade, Existing Mold
A UK track prep shop orders 10 open fender vent pairs for the Porsche 911 (992).
| Item | Adds | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Base: existing mold, open louvered pair, wet carbon | $95 / pair | Mold already exists, louver tooling included |
| Dry carbon pre-preg build | +$55 / pair (about +58%) | Pre-preg costs 2–3x, autoclave keeps louvers warp-free |
| Clip hardware and edge seal kit | +$12 / pair | Vents in the airstream need real mounts |
| Small batch (10 pairs, below the 20-pair tier) | +$15 / pair | Fewer pairs to spread setup and QC time over |
| Total, 10 pairs | about $177 / pair | Every add-on is a process step, not a markup |
Always included, never charged: existing mold use ($0 tooling fee), standard gloss finish, tape or clip hardware where needed, a pre-shipment fit check with photos, and foam protection on every part.
* These are walkthroughs, not quotes. Your number follows your spec. Tell us the model, the type (styling or functional) and the quantity, and we reply with an itemized quote within 24 hours.
Real Carbon Fiber vs Vinyl Wrap
A carbon-look vinyl wrap costs a fraction of the real thing. If you only want the look for a while, it does the job.
But a wrap is a printed sticker. Up close — and every time you touch it — you feel the difference. Real carbon has depth, texture and a weave you can see into. A wrap has a flat pattern, and it starts peeling at the edges within a couple of years, right where people look most. Real carbon just stays.
What Cheap Vents Really Cost You
Two parts can look identical in a photo and behave completely differently on the car. Low prices usually come from three shortcuts:
Thin louvers warp out of shape.
Edges don’t sit flush; the tape lines show.
Wind noise tells you which vent is lifting.
A cheap vents can end up costing more: returns, refunds, weeks of delay, body-shop rework — and if you resell, damage to your own name.
Three Tips to Get the Lowest Factory Price
- Pick an existing mold when one fits — no tooling fee at all
- Order a mixed 20-pc batch — that’s the lowest unit-price tier
- Ship from our overseas warehouse or by sea — freight is where the big savings hide
