Client Requirements

A Chinese EV manufacturer needed carbon fiber interior trim for the Voyah FREE. The parts had to cut weight to support driving range and energy efficiency, stay durable and safe in daily use, and keep a premium carbon fiber look that fits the brand image. As an OEM program, batch-to-batch consistency was a hard requirement.

Scope of Customization

JCAUTO delivered prepreg autoclave molding, brand-matched styling and surface options, CNC steel molds, and OEM-level production inspection covering dimensions, assembly, strength, and appearance. Steel molds stay dimensionally stable under high temperature and pressure and have a long service life, which makes them ideal for batch consistency.

Available weave and finish options include 3K twill, 3K plain, 12K large weave, forged carbon, and custom patterns – in classic black or colored carbon, with gloss, matte, semi-matte, or raw carbon surfaces, matched to the brand’s tone.

Pain Point

EVs have a clear need for weight saving and energy efficiency. At the same time, OEM projects demand far more than normal aftermarket parts: stable dimensions across batches, long-term durability, safety, and a premium surface feel. Traditional heavy interior materials, basic wet carbon processes, and low-cost molds cannot meet all of these goals at once.

Solution

JCAUTO chose the prepreg autoclave process, where resin content and fiber layup are tightly controlled, giving low weight, high strength, and a stable surface. 3D data directly drove CNC machining of the steel molds, keeping dimensions stable under high temperature and pressure and extending mold life.

Brand-matched weave and color options, plus several rounds of assembly and performance inspection, locked the production standard before batch delivery. This engineering-first way of working is how JCAUTO supports OEM customers across 5,000+ completed projects.

Final Result

The interior parts achieved real weight savings and support the vehicle’s range and efficiency goals. Strength and durability passed the manufacturer’s validation, and the carbon fiber finish clearly raised the premium feel of the interior.
