Client Requirements

The program required a comprehensive real carbon fiber exterior upgrade for the 2023 BMW G87 M2 Coupe, covering key front, side, and rear styling areas. The body kit needed to provide a consistent overall appearance across multiple components while offering a material and finish treatment comparable to OEM-style carbon fiber. A matte coating option was also required for customers requesting a non-gloss finish.

Scope of Customization

The customized body kit by JCAUTO included 10 exterior components: Front Lip, Side Skirts, Rear Diffuser, Front Air Ducts, Front Fender Arch Trim, Rear Bumper Vents, Rear Fender Arch Trim, Rear Wing Spoiler, Rear Roof Spoiler, and Rear Spoiler.

Pain Point

The main challenge was coordinating a multi-part exterior package across the front, sides, and rear of the BMW G87 M2 while maintaining a unified visual language and consistent carbon fiber appearance. Because the program covered multiple styling and aerodynamic components, consistency in overall design treatment and surface finish was important to the integrity of the complete body kit.

Solution

The program used vehicle-specific 3D scanning to establish the basis for BMW G87 M2 body kit development, then defined the exterior package as a coordinated set of individual carbon fiber components. Material guidance was standardized around JCSPORTLINE carbon fiber fine or an OEM-equivalent carbon fiber appearance, while matte coating was retained as an optional finish. This approach provided a consistent product framework across the complete 10-piece package.

Final Result

The project established a complete 10-piece real carbon fiber body kit program for the 2023 BMW G87 M2 Coupe, covering major exterior areas from the front to the rear of the vehicle. The project deck also defined the individual component scope and material/finish direction, providing a clear basis for product development and commercialization.
